You just have to do some paperwork and we will take care of it for you. Therefore, you will not have to notify your old company that you are switching. It's as simple as that!

Which electricity tariff should I sign up for with Nexus Energía?

We have the best electricity tariff you need based on your consumption habits and your needs. If you don't want to worry about when you consume energy and enjoy the same price for any time of the day, we recommend the flat rate Stable Light. You will pay according to your consumption. If you prefer not to worry about how much you consume, we have the Free Light tariff, where you will pay the same every month. In this case, the quota is estimated based on the previous consumption and is regularized at the end of the year according to the actual consumption.

If what you prefer is to have your energy at cost price with 3 schedules (peak, flat, valley) and 3 prices, and thus have greater control of market prices, we recommend the tariff Luz a precio de coste con discriminación horaria.

    What power should I contract?

The contracted power is the maximum power that can be demanded. The ICP (power control switch) that you have installed prevents you from demanding more than the power. If you exceed the contracted power, that is when the leads blow out.

The power you need to hire has to do with the appliances you have, how you use them and how many you use at the same time. It also influences the size of the house and how many of you are at home. You can contract any value as long as it is below 15 kW (or equal to 15). The more closely the calculation of the electrical power is adjusted to your needs, the less it will be noticed in your electricity bill.

A part of your bill corresponds to the consumption you make and another part to the power you have contracted. With the new 2.0TD tariff you have 2 power periods, one in P1 (peak hours) and another in P2 (off-peak hours).

We have the best electricity tariff you need based on your consumption habits and your needs. If you don't want to worry about when you consume energy and enjoy the same price for any time of the day, we recommend the Optimal Light flat rate. You will pay according to your consumption. If you prefer not to worry about how much you consume, we have the Fixed Rate Light, where you will pay the same every month. In this case, the quota is estimated based on the previous consumption and is regularized at the end of the year according to the actual consumption.

If what you prefer is to have your energy at cost price with 3 schedules (peak, flat, valley) and 3 prices, and thus have greater control of market prices, we recommend the electricity tariff with hourly discrimination Indexed Light.
The PVPC tariff, currently the 2.0 TD, is the hourly electricity tariff regulated by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, always has hourly discrimination in three energy periods and two billing bands for the contracted power. In the free market, where we are, tariffs are offered with or without hourly discrimination.

With the 2.0TD tariff, you have 2 power periods, one in P1 (Peak) and another in P2 (Valley). Depending on the time of day, you are assigned one or the other (independently of Peninsula, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla).

All weekends and national holidays have P2 power at all hours. For example, at any time on a Saturday your power is always P2.

For the 2.0 TD tariff you have 3 periods/energy prices: P1 (Peak), P2 (Flat) and P3 (Valley). If you want to save on your electricity bill, the hours when you can make the most economical consumption are in the so-called off-peak period, i.e. between midnight and 8 a.m., as well as all weekends and holidays.

Then there is the peak period, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. This will be the most expensive period of hours because it is precisely when we consume the most: we get home and turn on the oven for dinner, turn on the TV to watch the news, turn on the hot water for the children's baths, etc.

And finally, we have the so-called flat period, with an intermediate cost, it is located between 8 and 10 hours, between 14 and 18 hours and between 22 and 24 hours. All weekends and national holidays, this tariff has period 3 in all hours.
The increase in the electricity bill is due to the price increase that is taking place in the wholesale market (pool) and is due to several factors. It is mainly caused by the increase in the price of gas on international markets, a material used by combined cycle power plants; the increase in the price of CO2 emission rights due to the European Union's intention to reduce the use of fossil fuels; and the high temperatures in summer and cold temperatures in winter.

The volatility of electricity prices affects you more or less depending on whether you are in the free or regulated market and depending on the tariff you have contracted. In the regulated market you will have the PVPC tariff, currently the 2.0TD, offered by the reference marketers. This is the hourly electricity tariff regulated by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, it always has hourly discrimination in three energy periods and two billing bands for the contracted power. In the free market, where we are, we offer tariffs with or without hourly discrimination and flat electricity tariffs or with fixed prices with fees for what you consume or fixed per month so you do not have to worry about when or how much you consume.
If you join Nexus Energía, you will have an initial invoice of the fee that will be issued when we confirm that you are already our customer. This first invoice will most likely not be for the total fee, but partial, depending on the days billed that month. Then, at the beginning of the month, you will receive 11 invoices with the same fixed fee, corresponding to the fee we have calculated. At any time, you can view your invoices in the Customer Zone.

Finally, the last month we will issue a partial invoice again, again taking into account the days the contract will be active that month. In the end, the value to be paid in the invoices is 12 installments of the same amount. The price that appears on your invoice is equivalent to the price of the contract divided by 365 days of the year and expressed in cents of €/kW per day and in the contract appears in €/kW per year.

In parallel, your meter readings give us your actual consumption. This way we will tell you if it is above or below your sphere quota at all times! And so that you don't have any doubts, you will have all the details in the consumption reports in your Customer Zone.
It is not common, but if it happens to you it may be due to the mail service or an error in the email. If this happens, you can contact info@nexusenergia.com or call us at 900 67 01 40.
We will notify you when you have a new invoice available by sending you an email informing you of the amount and you will find the link to access your Customer Zone where you will be able to view your complete invoice.
The distributor is responsible for collecting the readings. You can find information about your readings in your Customer Zone on our website.
Whenever we can, we bill you based on actual measurements, if the bill appears as an estimate it is because the distributor, who is legally responsible for reading the meter, has not given us the readings. This information is constantly being regularized with the information received from the distributor in subsequent invoices.

A Nexus Energy reading is the one obtained based on the best information available on the billing date. In case of not having any reference data (if information has not yet arrived from the distributor), Nexus Energía will make the calculation from the consumption data provided by the customer at the signing of the contract, according to historical data from the same supply point or other projections always based on the best information available at the time. However, normally the reading from the distribution company does not arrive at the end of the month, but in the middle of the month, which allows the value to be extrapolated in order to be able to invoice the remaining days of the month. This information is constantly being regularized with the information received from the distributor in subsequent invoices.
The contracted power (in kW) can be seen both in your Customer Zone and in the central part of the efficiency report that we send you periodically.
The contracted power is the maximum power that can be demanded. The ICP (power control switch) that you have installed prevents you from demanding more than the power. If you exceed the contracted power is when the leads are fused.

The power you need to contract has to do with the appliances you have, how much you use them and how many you use at the same time. It also influences the size of the house and how many of you are at home. You can contract any value as long as it is below 15 kW (or equal to 15). The more adjusted the calculation of the electric power is to your needs, the less it will be noticed in your electricity bill.

A part of your bill corresponds to the consumption you make and another part to the power you have contracted. With the new 2.0TD tariff you have 2 power periods, one in P1 (peak hours) and another in P2 (off-peak hours).
The price shown on the invoice is equivalent to the contract price divided by 365 days of the year and expressed in cents of €/kW per day and in the contract is shown in €/kW per year.
The regulated components are those established by the government by law. These are the so-called tolls and charges, which are itemized on your bill.

On the one hand, tolls represent the costs associated with the distribution and transportation of energy, and charges are the costs associated with energy policy, such as the financing of renewables, for example.

Tolls and charges are applied on power (fixed component) and energy (variable component). In other words, we have energy and power tolls and energy and power charges.
A change of supplier has no effect on the maintenance of the installations. The owner and the responsible for the maintenance of the electrical network is the distributor. As a marketer Nexus Energía will mediate on your behalf in the necessary steps to resolve such incidents, but the ultimate responsible will always be the distributor.
The CUPS is like the DNI of your meter. The easiest way to find it is in the customer data of your electricity bill where you can see what your CUPS (Unified Supply Point Code) number is. You can also find it on your meter. It is an important piece of information as it identifies your exact supply.
You will be able to consume 100% green energy in your home and pay less on your bill. We offer you competitive prices and without permanence.

By joining us, you will be able to consume responsibly and we will move forward together on the road to energy transition for a more sustainable future. In addition, you will be able to support one of the solar producers we represent and build a cleaner, renewable world with them.

We will help you understand the energy market and your consumption. We will analyze your real needs to recommend you an adapted and personalized tariff according to your preferences. You choose! In addition, we will advise you on how to make the best use of energy and optimize your energy expenditure.
Switching electricity companies is quick and easy! We calculate your Nexus Energía fee with your CUPS number. If you are interested you have to register on the web to start the contracting process. You give us your details, choose the solar producer you want us to buy your energy from and sign the contract via email.

You can also call us by phone at 900 73 00 25. A commercial advisor will help you choose the tariff that best suits your needs and lifestyle.

You don't have to process anything. Just fill out the contracting form. Once you have contracted our service you will have access to your Client Area. There you will be able to consult online or download all your bills, your consumption reports and your contract. In addition, you can check your payments, your energy and CO2 consumption and information about your solar plant.
To switch to Nexus Energía you need the CUPS number, the address of the supply point, the product you want to contract, the power you want to contract and the direct debit.

The documentation required to be able to register a new supply with us will depend on each particular case, but it will be your electricity distributor as well as the industry delegation in your area that will establish the documentation you have to provide. When a new power supply is registered, an electrical installation certificate is required, an official document that certifies that an installation complies with all the necessary requirements to supply energy, as well as its energy efficiency rating and its maximum admissible power.
The registration in Nexus Energy is free. It may involve some cost for action by the Distributor. In this case, the distributor usually invoices Nexus Energía directly and we pass it on to you without adding any margin.
Under no circumstances. The supply is guaranteed by law, and the electricity distribution network is the same for all commercialization companies, any incidence in the supply cannot be discriminated between customers of different commercialization companies. The liberalization of the electricity market has separated the distribution and commercialization activities so that this does not happen.
You can not be left without electricity by changing supplier, whatever your previous company and your new choice. Switching to Nexus Energía is just a formality.
When we have the confirmation from the distributor of the change of supplier we will be able to activate your contract. This usually takes between 4 and 5 days.

In the case of a new discharge, the time required is usually between 5 and 7 days.

In both cases, we will notify you by e-mail when we start billing you.
Any person of legal age who is the holder of a supply point may enter into an electricity and gas supply contract.
You can terminate your contract with Nexus Energía at any time without penalty. You are free!
The month before the end of your contract with us, you will receive an email informing you of the end of your contract and the price of the new contract. If you do not tell us otherwise, the contract will be renewed automatically.
If you need gas in your home we can provide it. We adapt to your needs and offer you different natural gas options from fixed price to indexed price. In addition, we help you save.
You can call us at 900 67 01 40 or send us an e-mail to info@nexusenergia.com, and a sales manager will contact you.
When you sign up for an electricity and/or gas supply with us, you will automatically receive an e-mail to access your Customer Zone. Here you can check the evolution of your consumption, your bills and access your contract.
You will be able to see it in your Customer Zone, in all your invoices and also in the contract you sign with us.
In your Customer Zone you will find all the detailed information on the evolution of your consumption graphically, day by day, month by month, the monthly average and the daily average.
You can request to change your power in the My Managements section of your Customer Zone. We will forward your request to your electricity distributor, who will be in charge of making the change.

There is a possibility that they will have to change the ICP (Power Control Switch) in your house to adapt it to the new power. In this case, we will contact you and let you know. The ICP change will not be necessary if your electricity meter is one of the new "smart meters". It is a process that can take several weeks to complete as it does not depend entirely on us.
It is very easy! You can do it by logging into your Customer Zone in the My Managements section. There you can change your contact details, bank account and request a change of power.
Periodically, we send you your version of the efficiency report. Since we appeared on the market a few years ago, we have been a marketer that brings energy closer to you so that you can understand your energy consumption and empower you to use it better. Therefore, we saw the need to create a report in which customers can clearly see the essentials, to begin to start this change of mentality and habits.

The most important thing about this report is that it is unique, it is for you only. It is very simple and easy to understand, it includes the key concepts to be able to make an efficient consumption of energy in a constant way. On the one hand, it shows basic information and on the other, efficiency tips.

The goal is to help you become more energy efficient.
The owner and the responsible for the maintenance of the electricity network is the Distributor. Nexus Energy, as a marketer will mediate on your behalf in the necessary steps to resolve such incidents, but the ultimate responsible will always be the Distributor.
Nexus Energía has taken the necessary organizational measures to send to the competent body in the field of social services of each Autonomous Community, the lists of holders who have been reliably communicated the non-payment of a supply bill. This is done according to the model established in Annex V of Royal Decree 897/2017, of October 6, which regulates the figure of the vulnerable consumer, the social bonus and other protection measures for domestic electricity consumers.
Nexus Energía is adhered to the Consumer Arbitration System (SAC), which is a free public service to resolve disputes between consumers and companies on a voluntary basis and without having to go to the ordinary courts. The adhesion of Nexus Energía to the arbitration system is through the National Consumer Arbitration Board.

    1. Questions to ask before using the Bitral System

To resort to arbitration, the consumer must ensure that his claim falls within the following cases: (i) those that have to do with the contracting, billing, charging and/or service received by the supplier; (ii) that the claim has been previously submitted to the Customer Service channels of NEXUS ENERGÍA and has not received a response within one (1) month or, having received a response, is not satisfied with it.

    2. The Operation of the Arbitration System

Once the consumer has verified that his or her claim meets the requirements described in the previous paragraph, he or she may file an application with the National Consumer Arbitration Board or through a Consumer Association. Here is the link to the National Consumer Arbitration Board: https://www.dsca.gob.es/es/consumo/como-reclamar-conflicto-consumo/sistema-arbitral-consumo/organos

The arbitration process includes a prior mediation phase to try to resolve claims by means of an amicable agreement without the need for the intervention of the arbitrators who act in the arbitration system and whose decision is binding on the parties. If an agreement is reached in this prior mediation phase, it is recorded in a conciliatory award.

In the event that the prior mediation provided for in the preceding paragraph ends without an amicable agreement between the entrepreneur and the consumer, the consumer may choose to initiate the arbitration procedure, in which the parties must submit all available documentation, responses, allegations and evidence. In general, arbitration is carried out by telematic means and not in person. The procedure ends with an arbitration award, which decides the solution of the claim and is binding, as it has the same validity as a court judgment.

It should also be noted that there are a number of claims that may not be subject to arbitration:

    - Claims that depend on the distribution company, such as meter reading, network extension, access concession, inspection, quality of supply (including its continuity or interruption) and possible damages caused by incidents in the electrical network.

    - Those issues arising from fraud in the network (including metering equipment), such as manual, electronic or any other type of intervention carried out with the purpose of disturbing the correct supply.

    - Matters related to the application of State and Autonomous Community regulations on energy poverty.

    - Matters on which there is already a final and definitive judicial decision,

    - Matters in which, according to the legislation in force, the Public Prosecutor's Office must intervene.
Taking the information of the energy consumption you have made in the last period, we can show you your consumption behavior. And in relation to the optimal consumption, we make some simple recommendations in the personalized efficiency report that we send you so that, if you put them into practice, you can see the change in a short time, and the savings both in energy and in your pocket.
The trading companies are the ones that buy electricity from the distributors, and the ones that invoice the end consumer. Since the opening of the energy market in Spain in 2009, the two figures that can operate in the electricity market are the distributors and the electricity trading companies.

You are free to choose the electricity and gas supplier with whom you want to sign a contract.

Nexus Energía was born in 2000 when a dozen distributors from all over Spain got together to create an electricity trading company that was committed to teaching its customers how it is possible to achieve a more efficient use of energy and promote the development of renewable energies.
Knowing which market you are in is important when it comes to knowing how your tariff works and understanding your consumption. To find out, you only have to look at the heading of your electricity bill. The tariff for each household depends on your supplier, and what you pay on each electricity bill depends on the contracted tariff.

There are two markets: the regulated market and the free market. The free market suppliers offer all kinds of offers, both market-indexed prices and fixed prices, usually for an annual period.

Regulated retailers, which are those authorized by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, apply the regulated rate PVPC (Voluntary Price for the Small Consumer). The PVPC tariff has a price that changes hour by hour and day by day according to the supply-demand between those who produce energy (the generating company) and those who sell it to the consumer (the marketer).

Therefore, the daily evolution of the market and the oscillation of prices most directly affects consumers who are in the regulated market.
Green or renewable energy is understood as electricity generated by renewable energy sources, i.e. those that use natural resources that are considered to be unlimited. And what are they?
    1. Solar energy using the sun as a resource

    2. Wind energy using wind as a resource

    3. Hydropower, which uses water from rivers as a resource

    4. Biomass, which utilizes crop or forestry residues

    5. Energy obtained from organic waste (slurry, sludge, MSW)

In contrast to other forms of conventional generation such as thermal or nuclear power, these technologies do not pollute the environment, as they do not contribute to the emission of greenhouse gases, nor do they generate radioactive waste.
The energy you consume is generated by electricity generating companies in different types of generation plants: photovoltaic, thermal, nuclear, hydroelectric, etc.
Nexus Energía is an accredited 100% green energy supplier. The convention in the European Union grants the qualification of certification with guarantee of origin to that energy supplied that comes from renewable energy production plants. This is the procedure to ensure that consumers support, if you deem it appropriate, the companies that we can give you such guarantees of origin.

Currently, there is no other way to support renewables as a consumer. Obviously, your received electrons cannot be guaranteed to come from a specific plant, but you can be sure that we have fed as many "renewable electrons" into the grid as you consume as a Nexus Energía customer.
