At Nexus Energía, we believe that as active members of society, we have to help make this world a better place. Which is why, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, we engage in various activities both internally and externally.
At Nexus Energía we promote the work-life balance of our staff with flexible schedules year-round and compressed work days in the summer, among other initiatives. We also encourage healthy and active lifestyles through the Nexus Sport club.
We partner with the Randstad Foundation on its placement project for the disabled, thus doing our bit to further equal opportunity. We have a balanced work force, which is 43% female.
Environmentally aware, we encourage our staff to manage resources properly by improving the energy efficiency of our facilities and handling our waste in a way that minimises the impact of our activity. Thanks to this effort, in 2020 Aenor granted us the certifications in Environmental Management (ISO 14001) and Energy Management (ISO 50001), in addition to the certification of our Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
Within our area of activity, Nexus Energía is also working to shift the energy mix toward renewable energy. In 2019, 100% of the energy we marketed was renewable, and we led the market in representing solar producers by making the output of more than 17,000 photovoltaic plants accessible to consumers. We also support the use of natural gas technology as a less polluting fossil fuel to aid in the transition to a 100% renewable energy model.
